Default “TPMS Light On - How To Disable” Any Help?

Hello all, I’m asking for help disabling my TPMS light for my 2007 ES 350. I’m aware of the implications of this and have already considered replacing my sensors before, deciding against it.

In another thread posted on this forum (linked here - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-5th-gen-2007-2012/705172-tpms-light-on-how-to-disable.html) step by step instructions are shown. I decided, instead of cutting the blue cable, I will using a self stripping tap connector to connect the two cables, as this is an easily reversible fix. I purchased some 18-22 connectors from Canadian Tire and connected the dark blue and orange wires as instructed in the forum post. This did not turn off my TPMS light, so I’m wondering what I could’ve done wrong.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
