Default Leaking Trunk Help

Water is coming in from here

Good morning Lexus Team,

I live in Northern Seattle, and my 2007 ES 350 is experiencing a leaking trunk issue. Given the frequent rainfall here and the fact that this car serves as my daily driver, I really want to address this problem to ensure its longevity. Recently, my trunk was full of water, but on a sunny day, I managed to drain it all out. To cut to the chase, I suspect the issue might be related to the tail lamp seal. Could anyone provide a link to where I can purchase one? Despite searching online extensively, I haven't been able to find one. If that solution doesn't work, what tools should I use to effectively seal my trunk from water? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Test with a hose, spray water onto the affected area and see if it comes through. If not, then that's probably not the problem area.

If the joint is rusted through then you have a bigger problem. You'll need to remove the tail lamp, file down the rust, seal with some sealant (window sealant probably works if the area is not too large) and reseat the light assembly.
