Default change oil message

When I start the car, the checker always says "change oil soon". I changed it less than 100 miles ago but everything I try is ignored. Few things irritate me more than being ignored. Please tell me the appropriate way to fix this D thing.

Seems to be several ways depending on the year and configuration of your vehicle. For my 2008 it’s stated on page 308 of the manual.

Changing the engine oil (USA only)
To reset the oil change system, follow the procedure below:
1. Turn the “ENGINE START STOP” switch OFF with the trip meter A reading
shown. (P. 124)
2. While pressing the trip meter reset button, set the “ENGINE START STOP”
switch to the IGNITION ON mode. Continue to press and hold the button until
the trip meter displays 000000.

Are you getting the OIL MAINT RESET message? If so, here's how to get rid of it:
  1. Push the “ODO TRIP” button in the switch box to change the display to current mileage (neither Trip A nor Trip B).
  2. Turn the engine off.
  3. Push engine-on button once (with foot off the gas pedal) to go to ACC mode. Press and hold “RESET” and "ODO TRIP" buttons down simultaneously.
  4. Hold both buttons down for 7-10 seconds after the ACC mode is on. After the above operation, the master warning light comes on, a warning tone sounds and the above message appears to inform you that the engine oil maintenance data has been reset

To reset oil maintenance light, follow these steps:

1. Set trip to A by pushing in the stem under the speedometer.

2. Shut off ignition.

3. Press in stem and hold as you push start button twice (do not put foot on brake).

4. After seeing a row of 0000000 from odometer, release stem.

5. Start ignition, it will go through check and light will be out.
If all else fails, I suppose you could try this…
