The latest high-res pics have me thinking that the New ES has a cat-like quality about it. Sleek and prowling...

Lexus really used up all the "L-Finesse" on the 2006 GS, 2006 IS, and 2007 LS. The GS is definately the best "L-Finesse" vehicle exterior and interior wise IMO. The 2007 ES 350's exterior isn't that bad, but the interior is just hideous. I hope I don't offend anyone because I'm just stating MHO.

And opposed to many people, I really like the exterior design of the new ES.
And I'm guessing the interior won't be that bad when we see it in person... just maybe.
After all, it is a Lexus.
Thanks for the great find. I've registered an account for everybody here to use.

Oh crap, its growing on me. Look at those classic, little Lexus details.

Not bad at all.

Wow the original LS 4.0 V-8 made 250hp
the new ES 3.5 makes 270hp with a V-6!

Dunno...to me only the picture quality has grown. With higher resolution comes greater details of course, but even greater details don't change the basic interior design and materials. I can only now hope it'll eventually grow on me when experienced in person.

I'm talking the exterior, not interior...the exterior pics are much better with the high-res. Interior looks the same.

What is up with lexus putting the side mirrors on the doors???............IMO they are huge and look like they belong on a SUV. They look ridiculous on the IS and ES.

Well the ES really has no direct competitor, the DTS is pretty close though, and so is the Acura TL.
Old TL and I35 were probably the closest competitors. Now I35 is gone and TL has revamped its image.

It's listed as "Rear Door Mounted Side Impact Airbag." I can send you a pdf of the E46 options if you want. Just PM me your email address.

I do believe they're different light housings, but similar in shape.
