The ES will never have good handling because the Camry doesn't have good handling.
It's nothing but body roll, float & massive understeer
I go through some pretty tight corners in my Es 45 degrees or so at over 50 mph. I'm sure with a minor suspension upgrade I can do better but It's only stock with reg sedan tires

The 2007 Camry SE is supposed to handle very well.

I'll try to play it cool and walk away after the first offer but I'll have to go back soon, then they'll know they got me.
My only hope is that I know a Honda dealer. He says get your best price then go to him and he might be able to get me another grand off.
I'm still waiting for new Camry pics to appear and the cars to get to the dealerships so I can test drive one of them also.

Good news everyone!
I just got back from the Auto Show and had a chance to experience the ES350 leather interior first hand.
Well, not quite first hand, as the ES was a no show down here, but the 2007 Camry XLE V6 with leather was there.
As I had expected, the leather quality is very good. The front seats are supportive and comfortable. The back seat is definitely bigger than my old LS400's, and a lot more comfortable. It has 3 headrests and can accomodate 3 adults.
The car itself is much better looking in person. It's presence dwarfs my Accord. Controls and switches are well placed and easy to operate.
I can only imagine how beautiful the new ES350 would look, if the Camry is this impressive.

The 2007 Camry was officially released for sale today.
http://www.toyota.com/camry/index.html
Very few dealers have even one but they all should have some in about a week to 10 days.
I'm gonna try to drive one as soon as possible.
The Lexus ES can't be too far behind if the Camry is out.
I can't wait to compare them!
WooHoo!!!

Mark your calenders! The Lexus rep at the autoshow told me Apri 14th! I jokingly said: "Isn't it kind of strange to release it the day before tax day?" and he said no I said "in your area(Dallas market) it'll be April 14th."
I took that to mean it may be released sooner like the first week of April in some areas.

I've seen all the official Toyota press pictures and the live online video launch. I can't wait for the on-sale date as I am going to buy one. If anyone in Canada has any information on option packs or pricing, please post.
The last third of this video shows the ES350 driving in some type of Lexus press video. It looks so nice when it is moving, even better than the still pics I think. Apologies if this video link has been posted already, but I couldn't see it anywhere.

I know I had been a bit concerned by the lack of a door molding on the ES.
The 2007 Camry has them as an option so maybe we will be able to get on the Lexus ES also.
I'm just worried about getting a million door knicks all up and down the side of the door.
I'm gonna call the three local Totota dealerships today and see if anyone has a 6 cyl Camry to test drive.
I really want to feel what it drives like knowing that it will be similar drive as the Lexus ES350.
Man, I can't wait to get my hands on that Lexus!
