You guys might be surprised that it might go to $45,000 especially with that panoramic roof which I hear could be a $2000 option.

I just left a deposit for an ES350 with the Premium packard with Nav. Anyone have an ideal on price? I'm guessing around $38 grand.

I put down a deposit for the base model in cloth, with Mark Levinson & Nav and a couple of other features and I was told anywhere from $38-$42 grand, but even that was just a guess.

Did you get regular navigation or Mark Levinson navigation?

Regular Nav is $2550 based on the price it is in the IS.

The ML Nav is supposed to be $4000. based on the price it is in the IS.

Add that on the the projected base price of $35G and your premium package and you see how the price can rise.

How long did they say it would take?

Guess we'll see soon enough.

Two ways to look at it.

If the it goes as high as $43K that's $13K more than a similar Camry with nav and most every option.

or

If it goes as high as $43K that's $11K less than an Infiniti M35 with every option.

My point being $42-43K is a lot of money but certainly not out of the ballpark. The M35 starts at $41K and you can add $11K in options so it's not impossible for the ES350 to start at $32K and have the posibility of $11K in options..

I was told by the dealer that they would put the order in the same day and change one of their allotted car for the one a want. If not they should be able to find one within a month of the release date. I requested the regular Nav!

Default Preview Event of ES 350 in Houston

For all in or near Houston, there is an invitation-only preview of the Lexus ES 350 and GS 450h at the Corinthian Hotel downtown on April 5th. We were probably invited because I've already put a deposit down on a new ES 350. However, my wife and I can't go because we'll be on vacation in Aruba that week. If anyone lives near and wants to go, I'd suggest calling a dealer and requesting an invitation. It says they will have food, chocolate tasting, wine tasting, etc. Looks like a fun time. The dealership that invited me is on the West side of town and is affiliated with the dealership on the North side of town.

Really? That's cool, I'd like to see mine a whole lot quicker than 90 days.

I promised my nephew my old car for the second week of May and I have to give it to him then.
He has to go work on a race team in Ohio.
If I don't have the Lexus by then I will be car less for ahwile.
I don't really need a car during the day except that I like to out to lunch almost everyday.
I can always use my wife's SUV at night.

But I WANT that car bad NOW!!!
-------------

As far as Infiniti besides the fact it only has leather which I hate, I think it's ugly as crap inside.
Besides I'd never buy a Nissan product. Too many people I know have had problems with them.
I'll only buy Toyota/Lexus or Honda/Acura.

OK everybody I have a problem, and the dealer was no help.
I'm really getting annoyed at how little they seem to know.

I ordered the Aquamarine Pearl Onxy ES. I thought that was this color.
This is Aquamarine to me, I have a guitar this color and it's listed as Aquamarine.

But when I look as the IS page they list this color as Blue Onyx Pearl.
Someone else said on another blog that Blue Onyx Pearl was a very deep blue close to black.

I have to call the dealer back on Monday to make sure we are straight on the color.
Maybe the Aquamarine pearl is a light blue.
This is the color I want. What is it?
To me this is Aquamarine.

I'm officially pissed at my dealer at this point.

Every color is listed here already:
http://pressroom.toyota.com/presstxt...007ES350_s.pdf

And Aquamarine Pearl does seem to be the only color to possibly match the blue car in those pictures. Your best bet is to print out this PDF and bring it to the dealership who obviously knows less than you do.

Exterior colors: Crystal White, Tungsten Metallic, Smoky Granite Mica, Black Onyx, Moon Shell Mica, Royal Ruby Metallic, Golden Almond Metallic, Amber Pearl, Aquamarine Pearl, Blue Onyx Pearl

Now I'm even more confused!!
On Lexus this is listed as Blue Onyx Pearl on the IS. They have no other listed blue.

Here is the pic on the website listed as Blue Onyx Pearl , under it is a blue IS from the auto show.
Which looks like a darker blue but must be blue onyx pearl.
So I don't think the Lexus ES shown underneah it can be aquamarine pearl.

It MUST be Blue Onyx Pearl .

dont really know, but if thats the pic from auto spies, that the 2007 IS350 with the nerw color that will be coming out call "carasima blue" dont know but something with carasima in it, its like a racy blue color, not light but not dark, its like a true blue color. but blue onyx in the GX and the Previous GS are dark blue i believe, but the pic of the ES you're showing doesnt look all that dark.

I think lexus uses "ONYX" for darker colors, like Black ONYX, and blue ONYX pearl

LOL...cant really use the Lexus website as an example. Its horribly off.

Blue Onyx Pearl

Aquamarine Pearl

As you can see Blue Onyx is a lot darker.

The other blue color was a special Blue for the Chicago Auto Show. Rumor has it that it might go into production next year.

The blue on the GX is listed as Nautical Blue. That's not it.

This is listed blue onyx pearl on the 2006 ES.

This is what they list in the brochure on the color chart for Blue Onyx Pearl.
The seems to match the car below.

I need to find out what aquamarine pearl is

Ok man I think you are right now!
Oh Gee, I don't know what to think anymore!
The site must be REALLY off if they list Blue Onyx Pearl as this;

And you say that this is Blue Onyx Pearl which almost looks like a black to me;

I think I'll stick with the aquamarine I ordered. But I'm gonna be REALLY pissed if it comes in looking like this.
