I'm kind of tired having to keep a really dark colored car super clean all the time to look decent.
I just don't understand why it doesn't look nearly this dark on the Lexus site.
Then what color is this GS?
Have you seen the new Camry Blue? This might be too bold for a Lexus but this is a nice blue.

Some people including my wife hate it but it ain't hers.

I think the Aquamarine is a nice blue, not too dark, and it looks sophisitcated..
I'm getting the black interior so it should look awesome.
You're right about the website, the car looks more like a drawing on the color chart than it does a real photo.
Might be nice if they were a bit clearer about this.

Here's an interesting change of subject.
Here in Virginia radar detectors are illegal. They can take the detector from you, even if it's not turned on, and give you a $500 fine.
I think the law is unconstitutional. The government does not own the airwaves, the public does according to the FCC, so why should it be illegal to detect a wave they are firing at you . . . without your permission?
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
I'd like to have some kind of detector they couldn't detect or find in my car.

I was at the Toyota dealer today and snapped pics of the new camry with my cell.
You can see the air intake duct up front, on the Lexus ES350 it runs the same way but it is just covered up with nothing but plastic.
This explains why the engine hood shocks are awkwardly positioned on the ES350, It seems attached with the strut mounts.
It looks like an after thought or they just couldn't fit it anywhere else.

Another ES350 review for you. This time by Edmunds. The reviews are finally starting to come in.

Yes, I went to the dealer today and looked at it person.
So the Aquamarine color I ordered was the right one I wanted.
But the sales manager argued with me as to whether the ES will be available in cloth seats.
I could not believe he did not have the info I did.
I had to show him the Lexus spec press realese where they said it comes standard in Black Fabric.

Be persistant and get what you want. When i bought my 2006 ES330 i was not persistant enough and wound up without the mark levinson stereo. Now i can shoot myself for not waiting to get what i wanted. Dont make the same mistake.

If you give them a check and they cash it then you have to take them to court if they won't give you your money back.
I really stressed to them I want this exact car. It MUST have black Cloth, It MUST be Aquamarine. It MUST have the Mark Levinson and Nav system.
They are not sure all these options are available.
This is what I ordered;
Aquamarine Pearl
Black FABRIC Interior
Mark Levinson Premium Audio system with Navigation
Wood steering wheel and shift ****
10 Spoke Alloy Wheels
Body Side Molding
Cargo Net
Trunk Mat
Drivers Power Cushion Extender
Power Rear Sunshade
Intuitive Parking Assist
Adjustable Pedals
Wheel Locks
I am worried they will screw the order up.
Have any of you had experience with special orders and them getting it right?
