Covering with a towel doesn't help, it still radiates the heat up. I actually have a medical problem and I always run a degree hotter than every one else. It's always been that way with me.
The car is for ME and I love sitting on fabric and hate the feeling of leather. I know it's not as luxurious looking but oh well.
That's cool Shred. Whatever makes you happy...I just wondered what your thinking was. You are getting a great car and the new Levinson systems are even nicer than the one I have and I love it. One tip: you might have to boost the mids and highs on the sound control for a flatter response.

My Passat is a 1999 V6 with 100K miles and it still runs 'like new'. I don't mind the way it drives, its seats are comfortable etc.. probably keep it for as long as it runs well.

I'm thinking of the ES350 for my wife (get her out of the Trooper) then replace the Trooper with a nicer SUV maybe a FX35 or RX350 in a year or two.

I have a sickness, I love to buy nice cars.

I had bought 8 cars in 9 years.

Since then I've cut back, and haven't bought anything in almost 3 years..

I'll be sitting on the towel, it won't be attracting heat.

You want a more graphic description? It makes my onions sweat and I've gotten repeated infections from leather seats.

I used to have a cab, I drove it all day. I constantly had a fungal infection down there. It itched like crazy. The doctor told me the leather was radiating the heat back, causing me to sweat and causing the problem.

I had the front leather seat ripped out and put in a cloth one and the problem stopped.

I drove my Dad to Florida for three days strait a few years ago in his leather seated Buick and when I got there I had gotten the fungal infection again.

Now everyone knows the REAL reason I hate leather. Crotch Rot!

I hate leather. The ONLY reason I even considered this Lexus ES was because it has cloth seats. if it had leather I would be getting the 6 cylinder Camry LE.

I was actually complaining on a blog that I was annoyed that I could not get a new Camry, XLE, 6cyl in cloth.
The LE is OK but I wanted more luxury. That's when someone told me about this years ES having cloth and I was overjoyed.

I wanted to buy an ES the last 2 years but there was no cloth.

I don't care about how it looks to others or resale value, it's what I want. Whew!!!

As a guitarist and Sound Engineer I have high end hearing loss.
I always boost the highs.

That 272HP engine is not hype. I drove it in the Camry. Compared to my sisters 6cyl engine in last years Lexus there is night an day difference.
Go read the Camry reviews, everybody seems to love it.

Default Leather vs. Cloth

A man has to take care of his stones. By all means, I'd opt for cloth seats.

If he can't fit he can always wash and detail the car.

Default Get the cloth.

Get want you want. When your spending that much money on a car you should get what you want. I love leather interiors but not everyone has to. My dad cant stand leather. He likes the look, but finds them very uncomfortable. If everyone liked the same thing this would be a truley boring world.

I don't know what it is. So many people are totally freaked out that I want cloth seats.
This is MY car. 80% of the time I'll be alone in it. When we go out together we drive my wifes Honda Pilot. She never drives my vehicles. I think she only drove my Camry about 5 times in the 7 years I had it.

My wife REALLY wanted the Lexus RX but cloth was not available so I wouldn't let her get it.

We tried a Highlander, it was OK, then she tried a Nissan Murano which neither of us could stand.
Ugly interior, bumpy ride, weird continuously variable transmission which I hated.
Besides I don't trust Nissans. No offense to anyone that has one it's just that my nephews Altima, and my brother in law's, and my brothers Maximas all had numerous problems.
Transmision problems (3 on a 60,000 mile Maxima!), engine problems, suspension problems. Bolts falling off the car LOL!

We went across the street to Honda and ended up buying a Pilot that day which we just love.
Lots of room, very comfortable, it drives great for a big vehicle like that.

The acceleration is excellent with the V6.

Are HIDs/Xenons only available on the Ultra Luxury package? My $22K VW GTI comes with it standard...

Looking to get this car, please let me know

Welcome to ClubLexus, MSUSparty. But no, HID is not exclusive to the UL package. Please reread the PDF document--HID is a standalone option for the ES350, although the UL package includes it. That means you can theoretically buy a barebone ES350 with HID as the only option. Hope this helps.

Nah, she hates the color and loves her Pilot.

Check out the ES video on Edmunds, pretty cool.
You have to do some extreme driving to get the body roll.

Hey Mag, I'm jonesing for the new ES really bad!!!!

I can't bear to wait 30-60 days or more.

I'm having the sweats, nightmares, and cold chills!

My head hurts, my feet smell, and I'm constipated!

I dream of being stuck in the right lane doing only 25MPH because my 92 Camry is powerless!

Yugo's are passing me!

People with Dodge Neon's are laughing at me!

I NEED THAT CAR NOW!!!

What do you suggest I do?!!!!!!!!!
