by the way i thought we were told we were onyl getting one color wood? that is the medium brown wood that is on the cashmere interior of the new GS ..its the idenitcal color and leather color. that makes me believe that there are different color woods yet again with the three colored leather choices

i actually like it a bit, love the front end, but the rear end i would have to get use to, looks odd from the side and seeing the taillamps and the trunk is to vertical in my opinion, wish it had that look for the GS and IS, it slopes a lil' like the interior, think it may need more wood though looks like theres none on the passenger side of the dash like on the GS. the gear shifter lever looks like its put up in a kinda in a way vertical way like on the RX. but i like it, need to see it in black though

Some angle looks very much like the mark x , for example the rear side angle would be nice if it had those rear lights from the toyota markx. Well maybe the 2010 model refresh will have them. Anyone can tell from these pic if rear light led or not?

man that's pretty clean...the c pillar is similar to the GS kind of coupe like and it's clearly an evolution of the previous ES...no doubt this model will sell

Looks like the old '92 SC wheels. Combined with the obvious SC influenced hood, this must be the lexus version of a retro.

I am pretty underwhelmed by this design. I expected more. The side
profile is weak. The front is an improvement over the current ES.
Conservative vs hideous. The rear is a tie. Boring vs. boring.

However, it is nice and bland, so I am thinking it will sell like hotcakes.
Perfect for a family sedan.

I LOVE THE FRONT
I agree. Obviously I have to see more pics, but my first impressions is that it is only ok. I love the look of the front, but the side reminds me of the avalon. That could be because of the wheels though....why lexus, why can't you design nice wheels. For example, the new wheel design on 06 ES(s) make it look so much better.

Car looks average IMO, at least it looks much better than the last gen ES............The front is a copy of the RL and the rest of the car is not very distinctive. Interior looks good as always.

This car will not draw too much attention to itself which is perfect for the customer base Lexus is targeting.

I'm disappointed with the 2007 ES 350. The front is nice, but the back and the interior is just "blah." No innovation at all. IMHO, it's still a lot better than the current ES 330.

In a way I think that this is the 'last Camry platform shared ES' limited the design scope. It's not as daring as many of us, myself included, would have liked...but I think it's still pretty good.
