2008 Lexus ES 350 - Smoky Granite Mica/Ebony Leather Interior.
Purchased on 10/31/07 - 4,200 miles currently.
Premium plus package.
HID w/AFLS.
Parking sensors.
Wood steering wheel & shift ****.
Bluetooth.
Power rear sunshade.
Rear seat restraint.
Full-sized spare tire.
Preferred accessory package and all weather floor mats.
Been driving this car for nearly 7 months now and am loving it!!! I drive mostly on the highway and am enjoying constant rates of 26+MPG while using the cheapest - 87 octane - gasoline available.
I did extensive studies regarding the purchase of this car, comparing it to it's sister car the Toyota Camry, as well as the Toyota Avalon, Lincoln MKZ, Infiniti G35, Acura TL, Buick Lucerne, Chrysler 300C and BMW 3-series. In the end I decided on the Lexus and am very glad I did in terms of overall comfort, gentle and quiet ride and value. I am however extremely upset with myself for being so short-sighted on the NAV, as the standard radio is not very good at all.
Almost forgot; was driving a 1999 Chrysler 300M that was a very reliable car until this happened (my fault!);
So now I drive this;
But I still have my 2001 Toyota Spyder!!!

Hey Gimpster62, you've been on this forum almost as long as I have. Congrats on the new ES.
Welcome aboard to the new "May 08" members (codejd, rjt65, and heelor). I see all of you chose to come to the "Dark Side" (SGM, Obsidian, Black Sapphire Pearl).
I hope your Lexus experience is as nice as mine. I've not had a single problem out of my 07 UL. Oh, heelor, that's one hell of an upgrade from an 11 year old Corolla.
Enjoy!!!

Just bought a black/black 2008 ES with UL package, ML, Nav, pretty much everything but the radar cruise control.
Pure driving joy! Build quality is amazing. No rattles, quiet as a vault inside, smooth and comfy. Even the plastic ***** feel solid as a rock.
I've got to find some new destinations as I can't stop driving this car! :-)
I had been driving a 1994 Camry XLE with 190,000 miles. The old jalopy was still running great and had a clean repair history when I turned it in, so I knew i had to stay with a Toyota product. So far it's proven to be an excellent decision.

Toyota Forever!
jkayca, I also picked up my ES last night in B.C., Canada after humming and haawing for half a year about an ES or GS.
2008 ES 350 Obsidian Black on Black, Premium with Navi, added the rear spoiler but decided not to add the side mouldings (after reading the posts here). Office colleague also bought a Smoky Granite ES at the same time so we got great discounts for end of the month purchases.
Wife has 2002 RX 300 (our "1st SUV").
Retiring the 1994 Toyota Previa (220,000 km with zero problems) now that the kids are going into high school.
1st car was a 1983 Toyota Celica GT (ran it to the ground)
LONG LIVE TOYOTA!

Wow, your car came with Michelins? Mine came with Bridgestones...didn't know they can come with different tire brands.
And the guy with the old Corolla, wow that is one heck of an upgrade. I came from a 2001 VW Passat GLS V6.

Picked up my 350 at the end of June, '08. It's pearl white with gray interior.
A week later, I put in a Serius satellite. (XM merging). A week later had Lexus put on a spoiler. Few days later had gun metal rims put on. Looking forward to getting a grill and tinted windows. After that??
Traded in a 2002 CL55 AMG Mercedes and '07 Chrysler Sebring. Best thing I ever did. (however, I still did love that AMG) But super costly.
