Went green in dec 09 by buying the HS250h. The latest safety issue (fuel leak on rear impact - the hybrid batteries in proximity - too much for me). Lexus took their eye off the ball with the 250h.

Just traded the hybrid for a 2010 ES 350.
Starfire Pearl with tan interior. Loaded except for radar option. Dealer in Dallas was VERY generous with the trade!

Previously owned the '05 es330 it was loaded too - loved it! Gave it to my son.
Some say the LS is the flagship of the Lexus line. I say the ES is! Whatever the case, they make slight tweaks to the es and have a safe beautiful reliable comfortable... car, in the ES line.

Just bought an '08 ES, Ultra Lux. Black on tan, 30K miles. Looks and feels new inside and out.

I'll miss my SC430, but I wanted a quiet commuter with Bluetooth and an iPod input. Great car-- Quiet and smooth to LS levels.

I just bought the same thing ('07 ES 350, loaded, black on black). Have you figured out how to program your iphone to the car? I can get the bluetooth to connect but I can't tell the car to "call Chris/work/home" like my boyfriend can in his truck. I also can't program the garage door opener!
I swear that I am not an idiot!! I've had 4 guys look at the manual and they can't figure it out either. The salesman said that it would be easy but we can't figure it out. Just wondered if you had.

Thank you so very much!!!

'10 ES 350, Ultra Pkg. Obsidian black , Black Leather interior, Panoramic Roof, DVD Changer, Satt...Radio, Blue-tooth, sunshade, heated cooled seats. This is by far my best car purchase next to my 03 10th Anniversary Cobra Convertible. The luxury feel and amenities are unbelievable. This car impressed me so much on the test drive. Traded in my 2007 LTZ Suburban and am never looking back. Car is amazing and the dealership experience was just as impressive as the car. I will always own a Lexus!

Just bought a beautiful 2007 ES 350 on August 7, 2010. It is Royal Ruby Metallic with Light Grey leather (Prmium Package) and chrome 17" wheels. It has 48,000 one-owner miles and is like new inside and out. I will add pictues when I get a chance. I traded in a 2001 Oldmobile Aurora, which spoiled my wife with all it's luxury options, so we had to look for something like the Lexus to satify her expectations. I've got to admit, I love the Lexus too, even though she will be the one driving it the most. You got to love those ventilated leather seats in August.

Just got our '08 ES350 Ultra Luxary. What a car. Traded in our '08 Acadia (too many issues) and we don't feel like we downsized. Has all the features except the parking assist and cruise sensors. Car has 39,000 miles on it and feels tight. I hope to have it for a long time.

Default Black & Tan

Just bought a 2007 ES350, Black and Tan with all the fixins, photos coming soon.

My previous car was a 1st-gen 2002 Mini Cooper. I drove this car hard (it handled like a go-cart, how could I not?). When it was time for us to part, I wanted something more durable--seemed like the mini needed something new every 3 months. At first I was looking into the past at the "2 million mile" Mercedes 80's W123 Turbo Diesels; extremely reliable, stately, and relatively cheap. My wife and I got to thinking that it's a great second car, maybe not a primary car... so we shifted gears entirely.

We began searching for an 07 Audi A4 2.0 Quattro. I know a few people with these and have heard great things about the styling and handling, but also that there are oil problems in these years, and the ongoing maintenance gets expensive fast. So, unless I'm going to make buddies with a certified Audi mechanic, this one was quickly thrown out.

I figured after dealing with the maintenance, I did some homework and decided to go Lexus. If the ES350 is as dependable as I read, then I'll be as happy as a clam. It's a big body car compared to what I'm used to (anything would be) and rides smooth. On the test drive I was a bit disappointed with the acceleration...and then I popped the shifter to the left and smoked the road--nothing more to complain about. The trim in this car is not something I'm totally used to. The push-button start, the window shade, the hands-free calling, the nav, and ventilated seats are pretty humbling for me. I will say that the car is a bit more mature than I am, and not typical of people my age. I guess I'll just have to grow up a bit.

My question to the group:
To tint or not to tint? I think seeing the stately tan leather interior through the glass is classy. However, dark tint offers mystique and a bit of added safety living in Chicago.

Any suggestions, ways of caution or tricks to enjoy-this-even-more are wholey welcome.
