Rumors. Nothing more.
If the ES is going to have a hybrid, it needs to pack a bit of power (250+) hp to accomodate the hefty weight of the car. I doubt that Lexus will add a weak gas-saving hybrid like that of the Camry, but rather something with a little more power, like that of the RX400h. Hybrids for Lexus are not used for gas-savings, but rather more power and torque.
Of all the cars in the Toyota/Lexus lineup, the ES does have potential to get a hybrid. We'll see in the near future...

That's b/c the hybrid angle hits from both sides.
You've got the highlander/RX platform that's a spinoff of the Camry + camry engine + camry drivetrain allready inpalce.
And
You've got the Camry hybrid platform to choose from.
IDK, it wouldn't be bad to have an ES 250h off the i4 hybrid. Makes 190bhp till the battery gives up the ghost. I say 250h because the 350 has grown a few hundred pounds. I'm not sure how much fun it would be driving around an even heavier car. They'd have to shed weight somewhere bigtime...
Eventually... We'll get a hybrid option. I think it'll take awhile.
To me, this is looking sorta of like a repeate of the disasorous USA AWD Camry. It was here, it was cool, nobody bought it. So they simply quit selling it here.
If I were lexus, I wouldn't start selling hybrid ES's until:
A) It was a cheap option b/c of all the Camry's or highlander/RX's being pumped out - which will happen with the Camry
B) the Camry hybrid, or RX/highlander really started selling alot.
Presonally, As cool as the 2gr would be hybrid, I'd rather have the i4 hybrid. That option gets here the fastest & does the most.

I have a 400h and would love to trade our RL in for a hybrid ES 350. Drove a a hybrid Camry today and while it was nice, I would rather have a V-6 ES 350 hybrid. Anybody know if Lexus is for sure going to come out with an ES hybrid?

There is nothing confirmed by Lexus for a ES hybrid just yet.
The ES already sells in excess of 60-70k a year, they don't have the production capacity for addtioanal ESs at this point.
They just sold 9k ESs last month, way above projections.
Finally, the "h" Lexus are about performance, not fuel economy. Thus the RX 400h, GS 450h and now LS 600h L.
