I ordered a ES Ruby w/Cashmere two weeks ago. The dealer said it would take four to six weeks for delivery. Does anyone know how often the US receives cars from Japan and how many?

i dont think its the shipping part u'd have to worry about, as it should be here in roughly a week once sent off from japan...what mite take the time is the ordering of your combination, whether they have to source from another dealer nationwide or get one especially in your cobination from japan is where the time mite be more consumed--hope this helps

From my understanding, the dealers aren't switching cars so fast from dealer to dealer, since this car is moving very quickly. Also, the UL models are becoming extremely hard to find. It's the old story of supply and demand. I'm sure that after a few months everything will loosen up a bit.

Well, I certainly don't have any inside information, but they are going to produce 70,000 ES350s in the 2007 model year, so thats roughly 1,400 per week. I'm sure the U.S. consumes the lions share of those, maybe a 1,000 per week.

Whatever the wait, you're going to love that combination. That's what I've got and it's a real head turner, including my wife's. I was lucky enough to find my UL on the lot at Longo here in CA. I like red, by my wife is historically not a fan of red cars. We called ahead and the Granite ES350 we wanted was waiting for us in the front lot. On the way to it, we walked past the Ruby Red. My wife looked at me and said, holy *****, that's gorgeous. On the outside, I said, "If that's what you want sweetheart." On the inside, I said, "YEEEESSSSSS!!!"
