Default Remote start?

I'm surprised that with an available smart access push-button start there is no remote start of the car? Is there an option for that? During our cold/snowy East Coast winters, remote start is more than just a luxury, especially when you don't have a garage

Check out Luxury Motorworks/LMS, They're in the process of finishing up a Luxlink that should be able to do a remote start using your factory remote. Talk to Steve there, its should be ready in about 2-3 weeks...

Thank you for this info. How would the original Lexus warranty be affected by installation of this remote start?

That I'm not exactly sure, I believe the unit bypass the system and trick it. Call Steve up and ask him, he'll knows more details about it. BTW there a waiting list for these units as well I believe the list up to 300.

Are you saying the waitlist is 300 for the ES 350 remote start?

When you look at the web page it says the remote start is for the SC430. And even if its for most other Lexus, I'd be surprised if its for the ES350. Once someone on here explained that our memory keys and remote start systems aren't compatible, thus it would take 2 seperate systems and more $ to do.

wonder how you would bypass the requirement of having your foot on the brake to start the car. Then, if there is a bypass put in place, what if you wanted to only turn on the AUX functions of the car without starting it. Could this still be done with the bypass? Currently, if you push the start button with out your foot on the brake, you get the AUX mode.

Whether such a device for the ES 350 will actually come to fruition remains to be seen, but FWIW:

I pulled it up by expanding on the ES 350 section of the "Shop By Model" category...

It is nice to remote start our '07 Grand Cherokee and soon to be bought '07 Impala SS from our living room window, both of which the remote start is standard equipment. We have to go outside to start the ES350 in this cold weather as we are without garage in townhouse living.

It's just one more thing to pick on the Lexus experience for (LOL). Just saying that took me back to Jimi Hendrix's album "Are You Experienced". Yes I am.

Steve at luxurymotorworks wrote me that he is willing to try the luxlink on an ES350, but nobody has come to him to inquire. Anyone in the LA area want to give it a try with him? I really want this on my ES, but don't want to travel to CA to do it.

Do you have more details about that luxlink for push-start? I wasn't able to see it on their page, still lists it as unavailable.

BTW, I'm very happy with my Viper remote start Of course, its very important to find an experienced shop that will get the job done right!
