Update...

Put the deposit down last week on my new ES350. I ended up going with the UL. I do appreciate all the feedback.

One reason why I did was it was one with the colors/options I wanted and available

Also, one thing my wife and I liked was the rear sunshade. Here in VA, they were not sending them that was, so either order and wait or trade with another dealer or get UL. So the UL won out.

They might like a certain car but will not buy it because others will consider it as entry level or not "cool". So, they end up driving bimmers and than complain about warning lights and all the technical problems

The Mercedes C-class is clearly entry level for people who want the MB brand but cant afford the real MB quality and style. The basic package for C-class is very skimpy, and for the same price you can get a nicely equipped ES350 PP+. Clearly the ES350 is a better value and is overall a better car. Even though the ES is considered entry level for some (sour grapes), but its performance and style match models that are well above the entry level luxury segment.

I was convinced that since I was gonna take a hit on trading in a brand new car, I might as well get the best equipped package to make it worth while. So far the UL has been really luxurious.... really cool. My dad went with the basic package when he got his ES330 a few years back, and he was shocked that I got the basic package for my MSM. I guess a lot of people are impressed by the car itself that certain details don't really matter. Hence the PP+ is still a popular choice.

I guarantee you will absolutely not regret it.

Its not a standard option for UL. You gotta pick one that has it or order one.

Hmm, how often does the UL ES350 coming in are equipped with Parking Assist? just curious because on the day I got my car delivered, I think 6-7 out of the over 10 ES350s have the PA and I am sure half of them are ULs as they have the rear moonroof.

It's Crown Lexus @ Ontario Auto Center. Really recommend this dealer. I dealt with 3 dealers, Longo, Cerritos and Crown and they really went all out to make it a wonderful experience for me. The dealer is not as big as the others, so there are not much gimmicks (like putting hole in Glendale Lexus and etc). Service dept is pretty ok but they don't have a lot of loaner cars. You really had to make an appt and make sure that there will be a loaner car if you can't wait.
