According to the technician this is a new version of VR using a different algorithm to interpret. Will have the wife try it but really don't relish the thought of having her with me everytime I drive the car. A man has got to have a little time to himself!

Also try talking slowly...mine seems to work better when I pronunciate the words.

Talking to dealer today about that and the service rep said their is a software patch to improve the VR. I have to say the VR is actually very useful when it works.

For some reason it works great when I talk like a pirate.

My ES is three months old, I have made two trips to St. Louis in it (1200 miles) holy smoke, without that I would at about 800 miles. I am enjoying this ride.

Purchased on 4/27 and now have over 11K trouble free miles. Also thought the original US release was late April.

Oooops, my mistake......I ordered the car in the beginning of April(before the launch date), but found out during my wait that a UL Edition was coming in at the end of the month, so I decided to wait. The car was finally delivered to me May 4th. So, I guess it's 7 months old.
