Default Congratulations To All of Us Who Purchased 3 Months Ago Today on 4/25

..and anyone afterwards. Yep. It's 3 months to the day since they launched the ES 350..

I have 1368 miles on mine (I took delivery 4/29 because I had to have XM, lojack , and Chrome Rims installed and also had to go to New York).

Anyway, Happy 3 Month Birthday!

I've had mine since May 2nd & I just broke 1500. But since I have a little under 4 mile round trip to work, thats less than 20 miles a week, so I won't be piling up the miles either.

I am going bit over 500 miles on mine and its exactly 1 month (got mine on June 25th). I am like CyclopStan and dont really drive over 30 miles to work each week. Majority of my mileage is from leisure trips.

I'm envious of you guys with the short commutes. I got my car on 04/27 and I have 4600 miles on it already. The car is now nagging me to bring it in for the 5000 mile service. At 4500 miles a warning came on the multi-display saying 'Oil Change Maintenance Required' along with a red exclamation point every time I start the car.
Finding time to bring it in is going to be tough since my dealer is over an hour away and not in the direction of where I work either. Plus I'm going on vacation next week.

Looks like we got the car the same day and you do just as many miles as me. How did the first service go? What do they do? I am planning on having them personalize some of the settings at that time.

Just basic oil change and tire rotation. They did top off windshield washer fluid. I had one small trim piece that was loose and they fastened it back. I continue to have a problem with the voice recognition which they had no fix for. They did say they have had numerous complaints. Technician worked with me on it and he had as much trouble as I did. They offered no solution. The VR is my only major dissatisfaction with the car. Never had this much trouble with VR in my BMW. I have basically just given up on using it.

I took my car to Palm Springs 260 miles roundtrip, and up to the San Joaquin Valley 300 miles round trip, so the rest of the miles on my car are all to/from LAX here in LA. I work out of my home so I have no commute. (I should have leased, but I plan on having this baby for a long time).

You know what? It really doesn't matter. It's a worthless feature that's just there for the "gee whiz" factor and serves no functional purpose whatsoever. I have it and couldn't care less. There's nothing that you can't do faster and more efficiently without it.

I totally agree. I never use it and don't plan to. I did ask about it this morning though when I called to schedule my 5000 mile service. They had told me they were getting a fix when I bought the car 3 months ago but I don't think they ever did. I remember how embarassed the salesman was when trying to demonstrate it.

Ohhh......how can you say that VR is not important? It's very difficult to press the radio's on/off/volume button, as opposed to pressing the steering wheel VR activation, and then after the first message you say FM, or whatever. heehee

I disagree about the VR being worthless. If you travel much and want to enter addresses, it is a lot easier to do with VR. That is if the VR is designed to be user friendly. Agree that for most other functions it is no big deal. Guess it is a matter of perspecitive if it is worthless or not.

Try taking in a high pitched voice or have wife or girlfriend give command! Works on my ES330!
