Interesting ES350 discovery
I know, picture worth a thousand words, but I don't have my digital camera with me so will have to describe this as best as I can
I found at the bottom left corner of the both rear passenger doors a small clear plastic patch (the same material used on those clear bra masks) and also a bigger patch right to the left of it on the bottom side of the rear fender to the right of the wheel opening. I never noticed that before until now cause its absolutely clear and on my Tungsten Pearl its literally invisible. Someone told this is actually used to protect that "vulnerable" spot from stones. Why that specific area and why such a small coverage? Makes no sense to me. Can anybody check if you have the same patches on your ES350?

Bizzaro-bro, your Highlander has it too....it's not very obvious but it's there. It is certainly for protection of some sort.... Im guess for curbs, as in when you open your door.

Hmm, I gotta check it on Highlander. But why only on a rear door, not the front door? Those patches are very small, but have a specific location which I'm sure were precisely calculated.
