Rim/Tire Suggestions
Has anyone gone aftermarket yet? The more i look at these tires the more I despise them. It's literally the only thing I dislike about the car's exterior. From the back, it looks like the car is riding on two donuts. I was thinking it would be easier (and less expensive) to stay within Lexus. I like the look of the LS's 18's and the GS430's package (I believe they are both 245's) but it's hard to imagine how it would look on the ES. I wish Tirerack would put the ES350 on so you could try different scenarios. Any thoughts and especially pictures would be greatly appreciated. I like the multi-spoke look but just a meatier tire is what I'm looking for. Thanks!

I have to agree with you. I just love the azz end of this car. (I've always been an azz man. 
) But she could definitely use some better legs. Lexus has always put skinny tires on the ES's. I'll bet a beefier tire would improve performance too.
Likely would have a negative impact on the wonderful gas mileage however.

Gotta agree here. Was driving this morning to work behind another ES350, and you can really see this massive body got some "chicken legs" 
Would it be possible just to put a different wider tires? Or, the whole wheels gotta be changed? Sorry, I never been into car modding except for basic stuff, so I don't know too much about different rim/tire fit.

Same Issue
Hey guys! Have had my ES350 for 2 days now and unfortunately had to settle on the Premium package and not the Ultra Luxury which comes with the 18" chromes. I love my ES but the only thing I would change right now are the rims. I tried numerous searches and am running into similar problem - car too new for aftermarket ideas.
I did phone my dealership and asked them if Lexus makes any stock changes to the car as far as Premium vs Ultra Lux with respect to wheels. They said that they just slap on the 18s and no other changes.
(No experience with this here) Does that mean that we can just shop for any 18" wheels and try to match it as best as possible to the measurements of what the 18s in the Ultra Lux package are?
I am leasing my car so I am not willing (nor feel compelled) to make any changes to my car except for changing the wheels to bring out the true Luxury Look of this great car. Advice?

Cyke - you are totally right! 
The UL has 17" graphite polished. Man ... now I am a bit lost. Does that mean that I am limited to 17" rims only if I dont want to mod car (since I got to return it at end of lease - that is IF i return it. hehehe) Or can i put on 18"s with thinner tires so as to "make up for difference"?

These were an option and can be found in the back of the ES-350 brochure. They were not factory installed as stated earlier. We think these wheels give this car a special look.

Those are sweet looking rims. Kinda have that BMW stock look to 'em. Nevertheless, makes the ES look a bit more sporty - which I think fits with the fact that the car is a mix of sporty luxury [if that makes sense].

I purchased the car from a dealer in Minnesota. At the time the car already had 4500 miles on it and was loaded (tires, wheels, tinted windows, Mark Lev. sound system, NAVI, etc.). I purchased it for $38700.
The story goes that a gentleman owned the car for about two months. Put on these accessories and then turned it in for a Mercedes S-Class. I got a really good deal on it.
The picture was taken from the showroom floor of a dealer. I have not taken any recent pictures.

I have one more request if you don't mind. Can you post pics of the rims and tires side view and from behind? The stock tires does not look proportional to the size of the car (very slim) so I was wondering if the wider tires would make it look more appropriate.
