Default Reliability Issues

Looks like Toyota is starting to get lazy. Let's hope this doesn't carry over to the Lexus brand:

Toyota is delaying the newer models to make sure everyting checks. Better to be safe than sorry. Toyota is looking our for it's customers.

I took the article and the Toyota comments to mean that lately there have been more problems than Toyota is used to having and they are pushing things back to take the time to re-focus on quality and building processes. This is definitely looking out for the customer, as they obviously will be losing money by slowing down the assembly lines. However, it's strange that Toyota seems to be having more issues on the 06 and 07 models than ever before. Must be because more models are being built in America now!

Yes. Hopefully they'll give up some profit in order to retain their legendary quality and reliability status. To be honest, our 02 Camry isn't exactly up to snuff even though it's built in Japan. But then again, I have high standards given it's a Toyota and I'll just assume it's 1st year model issues cause our previous two Toyotas weren't as problematic as this.
