Default Canadian VR problems

I have had ES350 UL with Nav. Purchased in Canada. Voice Rec for climate control does not work. I gave my dealer the TSB dealing with this and he say's the TSB is for US vehicles only. I think not! Any other Canadian ES350/nav units out there that have this function working?

(Action directed to the dealer)---OK, then here is my car, I'll take your loaner and you call me when you have the VR for climate control working. Have a nice day

Agreed. Even if the TSIB is not Canadian, it really doesn't matter as this is clearly a warranty issue for you and your car. The dealer has a legal obligation to fix a defective part under your warranty.

I need to talk to my dealer tomorrow here in BC about my 8000km service, and to get my trans looked at. I have the problems listed in the Trans TSB - gear slipping when vehicle cold, etc. Also rather clunky until the trans is warm as well.

Will my dealer say that the Trans TSB doesn't apply here? I don't know. I'm not even going to give them the TSB number, I'll let them do the work and work it out.

If you don't feel comfortable naming-names (your dealers), I can tell you that my service dept at Lexus of Port Moody is doing a good job on my issues to date with my new ES.
