Hey guys - first of just wanna say thanks for all the great useful info this thread has...I've been reading like crazy for the past two weeks!

Moving on, we just special ordered an ES350 UL fully loaded including PCS/Radar Cruise for my father from Lexus of Glendale (btw - I got $4800 off MSRP!) and were wondering what type of paperwork the dealer had you guys fill out on your special orders. All we had to do was give them a $1,000 deposit...nothing to sign or anything - does that seem right? I'd kinda like to see somewhere in writing what we've ordered.

Never, EVER walk out of a place of business at which you've paid money (I do trust this was on a credit card) without a clearly detailed receipt of the terms of the contract.

Well I've done everything over the phone....I'm gonna talk to my salesperson again and see if there is any sort of documentation I can get.

I just wanted to see what exactly everyone else got when they did their special order.

That's a good idea. It'll help with your peace of mind and make sure that everything is in order. Remember, they need you more than you need them, and if everything is on the up and up the dealer won't mind getting you all of the documentation that you need ASAP.

PCS\Radar Cruise is an interesting option. I don't think anyone here has reported seeing or being able to purchase an ES vehicle with that option to date.

I was told in April that if I wanted radar cruise, it would have to be specially ordered, and I would have to wait for about 3 months. My car came equipped with everything except for that option, and it was the first UL edition that my dealer sold in April. They didn't get another UL for at least 2 months, and none that they've sold to this day has radar cruise.

I ordered my Lexus June 19,2006. It arrived Sept. 28. I ordered it with every option. It has the radar Cruise control.
