Welcome Future...

I am a fairly new member as well. I have really appreciated the free-flow of information that is shared through this forum.

Very helpful!

Welcome to the group. Do you currently own a Lexus or thinking about it?

Hi future. Even with all of the complaints so far on the ES350, it is a far better automobile than the majority of cars on the road. We contemplated another Town Car but after using a Town Car rental for the past few days, I am amazed that Ford can charge the same amount -$42,000 (net price with rebates and large dealer discounts) versus Lexus ES350 (with smaller dealer discount). The ride / quiteness / quality of materials etc - there is no comparison. The buyers regret / lament on the ES350 has left my wife's attitude. But, for the record, the Town Car does have one small detail that outshines the Lexus - remote trunk operation. Press the trunkbutton on the remote, the trunk open up fully, press it again, the trunk closes by itself.

i totally agree with you about Lexus compared to others , but gear issues scared me , i am still waiting Lexus to solve it out.

From an earlier post - our '99 Town Car had to have the torque converter replaced under warranty; our '04 Mountaineer had transmission work early on and our '04 Lincoln LS transmission was reprogrammed a number of times. I think it is the nature of the new transmissions to be finicky versus the old Turbo 400 et all transmissions of yesterday.
