Help with Bluetooth phone
Want to see if anyone is having similar issues, or has any suggestions.
When I am speaking on my cellphone via the hands free option in the ES, if the person I am speaking to has the slightest background noise, they seem to "step" on me. So, when I speak through the micophone, they cannot hear me. But, I continue to hear them and their background noise.

Sometimes, when I end up with a long phone conversation while driving, I wish I could have my stereo on playing in the background I guess, for that I need to use my bluetooth headset instead of hands'free option. But still, would be cool to hack it so you can talk and listen to the stereo in the background

Sorry grandpa Alan But this is for those special occasions when my grandma calls me (she knows when I'm driving to work and can't make up an excuse that I'm late to a meeting ), and I end up listening to 10-15 minutes without being able to tune out the conversation (often one way) in the background
... or just in general when you are listening to a radio and just about ready to hear the punch line and... phone cuts it off

That is the exact complaint I get. I know I am in trouble when I am speaking, but still hear the background noise. That is telling me my voice is not being picked up. Maybe I need to turn the volume down on the speaker.

Make sure your are not directing air from dashboard toward the bluetooth mic in overhead. That "voice chopping" phenomenon gets even more bizarre since it doesn't happen with a short spoken words, but rather when I continuously talk. Of course, we can't be talking all the time directly into the mic direction. But I assume this mic should have enough sensitivity to handle a voice coming from all the way around it, even from a back seat. I had my dealer check the bluetooth mic already, and they found no problem
