Test drivers form habits just as anyone else does... I don't know about you, but if I were a test driver and had access to a fleet of really nice cars that I didn't own. I might be inclined to overlook something that would irrate someone who is a lot more sensitive. Issues such as this may have presented themselves in development but were rare or could not be readily/consistently duplicated... The beancounters take over in these situations, they gotta make a few hundred thousand of them sooner or later.

Interesting notion, and while I in no way would say Lexus doesn't know their customers, the people who build/test these things are on the other side of the spectrum.

OK, if we go with this for a minute, picture that right now the bean counters are hurling quite a few expletives at the test drivers and maybe a punch or two...LOL
