ESBOB. can you tell i have a door alignment issue?

Ok..hope this 35% tint helps support my opinion that a dark color car looks decent with tint. It sure reduces the effects of morning sun, which i cant stand. Overall I would rate the quality of the tint "flawless". All the wet bubbles/streaks are gone...nothing but clear darkness.

Yeah..very nice tint job. Looks really great! A couple quick questions....

1) When you look out your rear window at night with headlights from cars behind you, do you get some glare where the rear defrosters are? I tinted my last car (Honda Accord) and had some reflections at night from cars behind me.

2) Is visibility still good out of your front side windows at night? And are you concerned that a cop will pull you over for tinting the front window?

It sure does! I'm sold. However, I'm pretty sure that Virginia does not allow 35% on the front windows. My last ES I did 35% on the back and the lesser, legal tint on the front. Won't do that again.

Kaius, your car looks nice and clean. Just returned from the dealer did you?

haha thanks... actually went to the dealer for a wash 5 whole days before picture was taken!!! I guess you dont really see the dust on photos It's not legal for front window tints in CA either, but I was told that cops dont really bother you for 35% and up. I mean, everyone has it like that. The only cars here with back-tint-but-no-front-tint are those with factory tints like my wife's highlander. So far so good....

To answer 2007es350's questions:

1) When you look out your rear window at night with headlights from cars behind you, do you get some glare where the rear defrosters are?

I have heard about tints and defroster wires, so i made an effort to drive at night to check it out (actually i have no choice because by the time i get off work it's already dark outside). Because the ES defroster wires are ON the glass and not embedded inside the glass, there will be slight bending of light. In my case, because of quality tint and installation, the only refraction i see are directly ON the wires and nowhere else. So when i look back, I see rainbow wires instead of brown wires.... that's the only difference. That's cool cus as long as no reflection/refraction anywhere else, no problemo. Actually looks pretty neat...kinda like "glowing" defroster wires.

2) Is visibility still good out of your front side windows at night? And are you concerned that a cop will pull you over for tinting the front window?

It's a bit darker, but still good visibility at 35%. It's actually quite subtle.... Takes a little getting used to, but no problem. Just be careful about speed and don't squeal your tires too much. If you dont deliberately attract attention, cops don't give a crap about your light tint. IMHO.

Nice tint!!! Was that ceramic or metallic or plastic film tint? Also, its interesting how the same 35% looks with light vs black interior. For example, here is a picture of my (RIP ) ES350 with metallic 35% and black interior:

Its absolutely illegal in NJ to have front windows tinted. And mine looked even darker than 35% due to the black interior. Cops will easily use it as an execuse to pull you over at the end of the month to make their quota (in NJ). Since I had my car mostly during the summer and early in the fall, I did roll down the window everytime I pass their trap. It was too much headache, and I probably not gonna tint my GS.

Mine is the Madico CH Polyuerathane 35% with lifetime warranty. Ceramic was too expensive (a bit too thick and can wear window motor). Metallic could interfere with Nav. I really dont have much of choice, but in the end its a good deal.
