Can someone post a picture of an ES350 with side moldings? I know Bob is digitally challenged , but maybe someone else can step up and post a pic.

LOL...yes and still am for the time being.

Though did recently learn how to add smiley faces, other.

I see dreyfus came through, so others can see how much sportier the car looks with them, only even better looking on darker cars.

One person's clean lines in not doing it, is another's tall, blank, plain metal door panel begging for something to breakup the plain look.

I have a black saphire with the side mouldings.

I traded in a black 01 accord that didn't have them. After a couple years the sides looked bad, even the smallest dings were visible. That was the deciding factor for me.

Smile Side molding, XM, Spoiler, Tinted

Here's the whole works. Notice the XM Antenna with excellent reception. Tint is 35%.

I prefer the new no moldings look. But, I'm worried about dings on my doors.
Maybe some of you (with and without moldings) can give me your thoughts on my dilemma.

I think this looks good. I have had comments and all positive.

It does look good, I got comments on mine too from those who saw my former without the mouldings. The mouldings are a thumbs up.

It's interesting that NYardich and Dreyfus's moldings are slightly different.

I bought my ES 350 UL (10/06 build, SGM/black) on Saturday and had the moldings installed by the dealer yesterday. They look like the moldings in the picture that nyardich posted. Maybe the moldings are manufactured for Lexus by a third party and they changed suppliers between the time Dreyfus and nyardich bought their cars?

Mine came with the car from Japan and are like Nyardich pic..I thought there was a difference but then thought maybe it could be camera perspective.

Mine were put on before the "official" Lexus moldings were available. The dealer added them for free and they are certainly third-party.

I think I like nyardich's style better.

no moldings, I like the look without them...besides all molding retains dirt, but thats my 02. Most dings here will be from trucks and that molding aint going to save ya.

to each his own... It looks alright.... cant complain. I wish they had a neon light flavor tho... I dont think they will protect against door dings by other drivers, but it looks to be effective against supermarket carts. If you get this for free or cheap, then it's cool. I dont think it's worth hundreds of $$. How are the moldings attached anyway....with glue or screws?

You're right, they're not worth hundreds of dollars unless you really hate the slab-sided look.

They are glued on. I believe the plastic molding has sticky tape on it.
