Pin Strip the ES350
Any one pin strip their ES350 yet. Would like to see one. Dealer did not recomend doing it.
Saw one today that was stripped. I think the dealer was correct. The lines on the ES350 do not conform to pin stripping. I do like AMF's suggestion (see below) for vinyl roof and whitewalls.
Thanks for the comments guys.

Along the same lines as the body side molding thread, personally, I prefer the smooth, clean, uncluttered lines of the ES350 vs. adding a pin stripe and/or side moldings. Probably what the dealer was thinking too. IMO it's a personal thing.

I've done the pin striping just three days ago. I did it myself, just as I've done with my last three cars. I have a darker SGM color so I used a metalic/graphite color stripe on my car. this was harder to do than other cars I've done because the side mirrors protrude out from the side of the body.
People have commented saying that the stripe really complement the lines of the car, so its just been possitive feelings towards it so far. I've got some snow up where I live right now so the car is sitting inside the garage for now. when things clear up a bit in the next day or two (hopefully), I'll take some pictures for you.

Pin stripes are not as big, or stand out as much as a racing stripe. Generally, they're only about 1/4"(?) or so wide, and run down the side of the car about parallel with the door handles or sometimes the rear view mirrors. They look like someone took a small brush and painted a single stripe along the side of the car. Look around, you'll see them on cars out on the road.

I actually had my ES300 done a couple years ago by a professional. He choose the perfect color to match the silver so not to be outright bold, but also to not be unseen. Just two thin lines from headlight to taillight right along the crease in the body.
Looks subtle but awesome. It is definately a personal taste issue.
here are a few pics.

Just my opinion, my 75 Cad had them – cool, my 83 Eldo had them very cool, but my 98 camry just had the gold package on a tan color, eeew, it was a waste of money. So today I’m a young Gezzer Lol, But I must agree pin striping on an ES may look out of place today. However if you think it would make it look even cooler than go for it, it’s all about what makes you happy.
