Default New guy, not as many problems

Have had my ES since June, replaced my 10 year old ES300.

Only problem I have is a slight pull to the left, and some wind noise.
Also seems to love rock chips on the hood.

Going back to the dealer tomoroww for the pulling, they supposed to have already done a TSB for the pulling, but it did not work obviously.

Ill give them one chance for the wind noise, then it seems fairly easy to fix.

Other then that I love the car!

day I got it, still had the old 300 in this pic

and with its windows tinted

Default It can't be true!

I've avoided this website for weeks because of all the negative posts.

Made me cross eyed looking for flairs, engine noise, wind noise etc. Hasn't happened so far with my car. Guess my car is a freak of Toyota. Meanwhile it's a joy to drive.

Ruby red UL cashmere, build date 7/06.

Great looking car.

I got a few pebble dings in the first month or two but none since, weird. Great looking car in black.

Here's mine. I'm not big into window tinting.

I received confirmation that my wife's Ruby Red UL / Cashmere will be ready to pickup on Saturday. She is very excited, as she has been waiting over three weeks for it to arrive.

Nice looking car, almost got the Black too, but settled on Ruby Red/Cashmere, hate the clear bra they did at the dealer, will probably have it removed and taken to my own guy, hes better, but it works great for the rocks.

Nice looking in pics, and not just because it's the same color as mine.

Steering pull they can fix, mine was to right.

Wind noise--let us know what you think the fix is if dealer does not get creative when you take it in.

all cars have thier problems, I have Fords, Jeeps, and Mazdas right now.
Always had a lexus in the stable and its always the least troublesome.

The chips in the hood bothered me at first, now I dont care.

I had a windnoise with my older Lexus- if you drove with the sunroof cover open it would make a howling noise, closed the shade and it went away. The car rides great and has plenty of power.
I drove the GS and could not justify the difference in price, the styling change made it where the GS is not such a different car anymore.

Mine had a pull to the left also. An alignment fixed it, although the mechanic had to make a point of commenting it wasn't out of alignment much. No mention of a TSB. Personally I thought the alignment was out quite a bit, either that or these cars are very sensitive to the settings being a little off. If I let go of the wheel the car would drift left over a crown to the right on a road. Regardless its good now, hope that's all it takes for your's.

Welcome Rob! Love the tint. It's still on my list of things to do.

Nice SeaRay in the pic....yours? Mine is winterized, wrapped up, and stored away till spring.

car seems to be very sensitive to the crown in the road.
Drive center lane, car runs nice and straight.
Drive right lane goes a bit to the right.
Drive left lane, a bit to the left.

So I am happy nothing is wrong except me not staying out of the left lane

Dealer also told me that the older Lexus were in fact quiter cars then the new ones. No big deal if thats my only gripe, Ill look into that technique someone else used to quiet thier car down a bit, would not be the first time I had a car with a little bit of windnoise, sure it wont be the last.

I also tried like heck to get it the transmission to act up, I might have once when I let off the gas after a hard acceleration right before a shift, I think the drive by wire combined with the electronic 6 speed gets hung up for a second, but I had to TRY to make it happen.

The TSIB for the alighment issue is #ST004-01

Default Steering Drift

I experienced this same situation. I'm sure some was due to the crown in the road, BUT at my 5000 service, when the tires were rotated, the problem disappeared.

So, for what's it's worth, that was my experience.

My car is 2 and 1/2 weeks old and I noticed it drifted slightly to the left on the ride home from the dealer (on the freeway). Still does it, but now that I think about it, I'm almost always in the left lane! I'll have to try a middle lane to see if this makes a difference. My other cars have stayed true, even in the left lane. This issue is on my list of things for the dealer to take a look at. Thanks for posting the TSIB number for the alignment. May come in handy.
