This TSIB about the antenna bracket issue was what I thought the issue was when I initially read your post. Seems weird though that the small bracket holding the antenna can be silenced by light pressure on the window or roofline. Looks to be more of an issue with the 'beam' and its possible nearness to the window's mounting area.

I have another es350 loaner right now to play with, since my es300 is in the shop.

Anyone have any idea how to remove the headliner? are the panels supposed to just snap off if i stick a screwdriver underneath?

nevermind. looks complicated.
My car will be a major rattlebox, as they have to remove EVERYTHING except the dashboard to get to stuff inside the ceiling.

I ripped this page out of the collision repair manual.
I don't know how to make sense of this.
Drew an orange box. anything there could cause a rattle. Looks like they glued a large sheet of metal there.
