Song title display on '07 ES 350 with nav
I have a '07 ES 350 with nav, and have been trying everything I can think of to get the CDs I burn to display the song info. I've tried data disks, which display song info for songs I've ripped from CDs but won't play music I've downloaded because of license issues; and audio disks in .wma and .mp3 formats, which don't display song info but the downloaded music plays fine. I use Windows Media Player 11.
Does anyone know how to get the best of both worlds -- display song info and play music that requires a license? Please provide specifics on WMP11 settings, or info on freeware programs that can do what I want to do.
Thanks,
Steve Wallace

Any downloaded Digital Rights Management disks DRM, can first be burned to a disk, then save it to your hard drive as MP3 OR WMA using WM Player.
Next burn these saved MP3 or WMA to a disk.
They should now do what u want them to do.

Steve,
I have a 2007 ES350 with the Mark Levinson audio system and have solved this problem. I could not get Windows Media Player 11 to work to my satisfaction because it wants to use the .M3U playback format and I found buried at the end of a sentence in the Lexus manual that .M3U playback will NOT work. NOTE: the playback format for songs is different from the MP3 recording format for the songs.
I used Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 to burn a music CD with 204 songs on it and it both plays and shows each song's title as it plays even when driving.
Here's how. Start Roxo, click on AUDIO, choose MUSIC DISK CREATOR, choose MP3/WMA disk, load whatever songs you want to burn, choose PROJECT SETTINGS. Here you can name your disk, uncheck .M3U and leave only .PLS and .WPL playback formats checked, use Joliet and press okay to return to the previous screen. On that screen click on BURN. You must use a CD-R that is not a rewritable one.
BTW, I also burned a new DVD+R DL (double layer) NAV disk. I combined my Ver 6.1 NAV maps disk (U31 D black disk) that came with the car with a Ver 5.1 LOADING.KWI file (U30 D black disk) so now my wife can enter addreses, POIs, and so forth into the NAV system while I am driving.
