My 2007 ES350 was given the new TSB flash for the trans over-revving/slipping between shifts last Thursday 8-2-07 and it did not eliminate the shifting problems.

I have a December 06 "born-in-Fukiyama" ES350.
I kept a list of any and all warranty items to bring to the dealer at the 5,000 maintenance - I gotta tell ya'...it was a short list.
I wanted to change the default setting to turn the headlights off immediately rather than waiting 30 seconds.
I complained about wind noise above 50....which I believe is compounded 'cuz the car is so quiet below 50.
And, the car evidenced the dreaded 3-4 cold-start transmission flare. The first time I noticed this flare was at 1,650 miles...and the largest spike I saw was about 800 rpm.
The service advisor immediately said that the car would need to be kept overnight so the technician could test the car cold.
I got a free loaner so that wasn't a problem.
The repair invoice reports the transmission was addressed with TSIB-TC005-07, which re-calibrated the transmission control module.
When I picked up the car, I listened to the engine and watched the tachometer very carefully for any anomalies with the transmission. I didn't see or feel any.
I've waited until I drove 1,600 miles with the "re-flash" before reporting my experience here (as I originally noticed the flare at 1,600 miles).
And -- the car runs beautifully. No problems with the transmission.
The road noise....boy driving the Toyota Camry I got for a loaner (yeah, I know...they ran out of Lexuses...or is it Lexi).really made be realize how quiet the ES really is.
If there's any more to report -- I will.
I am REALLY liking my car!!!!
