2nd drive with an ES 350 loaner and a girlfriends thoughts
Went to the best dealer around, Hennessy Lexus of Gwinnett and took my mothers RX in for an oil change and an inspection.
I had to meet one of my girlfriends for lunch, so I asked for a loaner. Got a beautiful burgandy ES 350. Ate at Sweet Tomatos and decided to go to Barnes and Nobles so she hopped in with me.
We are walking outside and I tell her I have a loaner. She says "I love the new LS 460, does it really park itself" . I inform her yes and explain it a little. I then point toward the ES and she says "wow that is nice". She clearly has no idea what Lexus this is.
I open her door (be a gentleman damnit!!) and she sits inside. She sees me press a button to start the car and asks "where is the key" and I explain how it works. She likes.
As we drive she is looking around and touching and says "this is a really nice car". That is when I notice how abundant the backseat is.
No tranny flares today, car drove like a charm. An ES is no longer for me (my first Lexus is an ES) but I can see why they are so popular. They seem to ease the mind as I have more important things to worry about.
I went to the mall also. The trunk is HUGE on this car.

Drove a loaner as well.
I drove a loaner as well last week, and just for kicks I pushed down on the carpet in the back seat center, and sure enough it squeaks. No tranny flare, No diesel sounds. Disappointed in the direction Lexus is heading with Build Quality with cheaper quality materials in the interior.

dunnojack, my alias here is 1SICKPIMP, I've got quite a few pics of the ladies on the car(s)...
Again, I'm sorry to hear the problems some are having, I find this car to be outstanding still.
