Default New ES 350 Mirrors

I was looking at a 2008 ES 350 this morning and I like the new smaller mirrors even though you have to take a good look to be sure it is a 2008. Actually they may just be Camry mirrors. I am wondering if the new mirrors are intented to:

1. Look better - which I believe they do.

2. Reduce windnoise - which I believe they should do.

3. Decrease the substantial blind spot caused by the 2007 mirrors - which I
believe they will do also.

I would be interested in the answer to this question but would not expect Lexus to admit to either #2 or #3 or we might all be standing in line asking for new mirrors. Anyone know?

you'll need to wait for the 08 to arrive at the dealership.

better to compare the mirror glass shape instead of the mirror housing.

I've seen the 08 ES 350 and you are right, they are not Camry mirrors. The 08mirrors mount the same as the 07 mirrors but are smaller. Maybe the Camry size but not the Camry mounting.

I do not have any wind noise, but I would bet the mirror design on the '07 was tested both on CAD and wind tunnel tests. I have trouble believing that any others would create noise if mine do not. The only time I hear wind noise is when I should, when the window is down (or after Taco Bell).

Are you sure that wasn't a Taco Bell 'flare'?

Gives a whole new meaning to the term 'drive through food'.
