I was just wondering when some of you had your first oil change. I breezed through the manual and couldn't find any recommendations. I'm at about 2500 miles now

3K, 4K, 5K, it really doesn't make a difference with modern engines of this type. The manufacturer recommends a standard 5,000 mile oil change.

I agree. BTW, isn't the initial 5,000 service complimentary at all Lexus dealers?

I believe it is complimentary everywhere. It was for me.

Yes, every 5K for the oil changes. This is when the light comes on.

In fact, on my previous car, the light came on at 7,500. I would have it done every 4K or 5K and the service department said I was crazy for bringing it in any earlier.

Yes it is a complimentary service in any Lexus dealer. They do the oil change and rotate your tires.

did my dad's at 950+ miles, next will be at 5k then increments of 5k like the manual. Will be doing a used oil analysis at 5k on his car to see how things are but doubt will be able to tell much. Look out for the UOA here or maintenance section.
