I am going to buy an ES in the next two weeks.
Will try to find a "basic" car...MSRP approx $36,900....the ligh gold color.
How much could I realistically get off of MSRP....I am guessing $3,500 to $4,000.
What do you think???
Any other issues/factors I should be aware of???
Thanks for your help

Just call or go to the dealers' web sites and request a quote. Tell them what you want. I think your price point, within a couple hundred dollars of invoice, is easily achieved (the three dealers I checked within the last two weeks pretty much started at $3,500 off). With a little negotiation you could probably get invoice.
I can happily recommend my salesman in NW Atlanta if you want a starting point (PM me). Also see my post on my recent purchase....

If you are going for an 07 you better be aiming below invoice and not just on the car like must people do(do your homework)...2 keys that you must know holdback and Wholesale financial reserve

I couldn't get return calls from a sales rep at a northside dealer so I decide to try the guys on the southside and see what their attitude was like. In a nutshell, they exceeded expectations. I bought an '07 last Sept and got about 1500 off. By now, if they have what you want I'd expect a better deal on an '07. If you want a conciencious rep, try Keelan Sales. He listens more than he "sells" and I came away quite satisfied. btw, my car had the transmission flare. They installed the replacement valve body/fix, no questions, very polite, no further problems. I highly reccomend them.
