Hi all...

I purchased a 2008 ES350... The car is a Middle-East Spec. So, you might see some little diffrent stuff...









For the mirror, i really don't see any change.. The only thing i've noticed is the Blind Spot Mirror for the driver side only.. The 2007 didn't have that feature in the middle east...



Also, there is a cool feature that i'm not sure if the US spec Lexus has it or not, the first time of the day, when you start your car, the car will say the date and the day (Thusrday, 13th september).. I like that

For the rear lighting, i don't see any diffrent.. The same bulbs/function used in the 07 is the same for the 08... Again, this is a Middle-East spec that it "might" be diffrent... It was built in 07/2007

Purchased a new 2007 ES350 yesterday.

Golden almond metallic....a pretty basic car...premium package, bluetooth,
MSRP $36,797. Got $3,800 off MSRP after some very hard haggling.

The car is so quiet and smooth.
I also have an RX that I love.

Two questions...when do you think a new style Rx will come out?

What is the best fway to find more wood dash pieces for my new ES?

I think the lack of wood around the upper part of the center stack looks unfinished?

Any help will be appreciated...thanks

i need your help since your car is middle east spec. Iam planing to buy the 2008 of the ES350 as well. It will come here in ( Saudi Arabia ) on the 19th of Septemper. The only thing i know so far is that it will cost around 10.000 - 11.000SR more than the 2007 model because of the small changes over the 2007 which include the panorama roof for us here in the middle

Is there a LED interior light for the back passengers? Our friends in the us got that on 2008 models but iam not sure about our ME models

How much did the car cost you in Kuwait? and how much was the 2007 model in kuwait?

I really have co clue about the RX... About the wood dash, i really like the previous generation ES wood dash that have the "T" shape... But, i'm still happy with mine and i'm not thinking to add any aftermarket wood kit to my ES... But, if you can't live with it, here are couple websites:

For the 08, the price increase was just 500KD (6000SR)... I think it's not bad for the Panorama roof specially if you compare the price for the Mercedes-Benz price!!
About the rear lights, i don't think there is any change in the rear lights.. They are still the same and there is really no more lights from the 07.. I think the rear lights are little dim, specially if you open the rear doors at night...
The price for the 08 ES350 in Kuwait (cash discount) is 13,000KD while the price for the 07 ES350 was 12,500KD... The price is for the fully loaded for sure!

Yes, same engine.. The ES, LX, SC have the same engines in the US (i have no clue about the RX).. The GS,IS and LS have less HP engines

and yeah you are right about the price different actually here in Saudi Arabia it's 10000SR more than 2007 model but it worth it

about the back light, i was talking about the interior light not the tail light, because lexus said something about LED interior light for the back passengers on 2008 models but iam not sure if we will have it here in the middle east models or not.

I don't see any changes from the 2007 ES350 that i test drove.. I'm talking about the rear lights... They are little dim specially when you open the door at night.. I just wish the lights in the sides just alluminates with the center one when a door is open.. Maybe i will do that as a future project
