Has anyone got the new all-weather floor mat yet? I received the mailing that they are avialable but haven't gone in to get the replacement.

Curious if the replacement is any smaller to avoid the gas pedal. If it is, hopefully it won't expose more carpeting to dirt. IMO when the original all-weather mat is properly secured it's OK and not going anywhere.

I didn't get a notice, do you just take the old mats in?

Yup. I called the dealer and they said just bring the car in with the recall notice and the old mat and they give you a new one. They have them in stock. I didn't think to ask them my question on how the new one differs from the old mat.

Just got recall notice in the mail today. Just bring in the old ones and the dealer will replace them free of charge.

Don't quote me, but I'm 99 percent sure they only replace the driver's mat, not the passenger.

That would seem logical, but that would not look as nice......a fresh new mat and an old beat up used mat.

Good point, sort of like a shoe recall where only the left shoe is recalled and replaced

Amazing what kind of service you receive when you have the Government on your back.

Correct, the drivers side mat only is replaced, as that is the only one in question.

I've never had any problems with the my all weather mats. Just took up the carpet mats and replaced it with the all weather, hooking it up. I run the Exactmat clear mats over the carpet mats during the rest of the year and no problems there either.

I received the notice of the floormat recall from my dealer, so I called them up and asked whether they just replace the drivers side mat. They told me that they replace both driver & passenger mats for this recall! They also told me that they don't stock these replacements, but they'll order them for me, and when they receive them they'll call me to pick them up. Nice.

Thanks for the information. When I called my dealer, they said they now have them in stock. Of course, they could run out of them too. It must vary by dealer.
