Default Quality issues at Toyota

This morning while listening to the TV, I briefly caught a piece where they talked about how quality problems at Toyota were catching up with the car company. The piece was on how Consumer Reports ranked Toyota in 5th or 6th place in relaiability. They specifically mentioned a below average reliability ranking for the Lexus GS line. Also mentioned were transmission issues in the Camry. Too bad that it had to come to this. Perhaps if you listen to your customers, they might have avoided public embarrassment. They also mentioned that with the recent growth at Toyota, this was bound to happen. Hopefully this black-eye will lead to increased built quality and resolution to outstanding issues with current cars.

I for one have had very little problems with my 1/07 build ES350. While not having the same build materials as my 2000 GS300, it is still a very nice car that my wife and I enjoy.
