I'm really catchin' it from my LOL, but these seats are killing me. They are the heat/cool seats, but after about 15 minutes, I squirm and hurt from the pressure. Yes I did test drive it twice, but we changed drivers after about ten minutes and I rode in the back listening to things. Only after it was purchased did the seat reveal it's ugly side. If I had driven for 20 minutes I wouldn't have purchased the car. Has anyone else experienced the same problems? What have you done to solve this problem? I'm talking to upholstery specialists, but that's a last resort. Incidentally, the dealer is of absolutely no help. Any help is greatly appreciated.

What exactly is the issue that you are having with the seats?
Are they too hot? Too cold? Not supportive enough? Maybe its just me, but I can't tell from your post what you are trying to describe.

The ES seats are unlike the performance seats that other cars have that kind of "hugs" you in place. But I understand this vehicle focuses on luxury so the seats are design to be comfortable. Do you have a back problem? I had a weak back a few years back and I was going crazy thinking it was the front seats, but it turns out it was me.

The front seats have little support/cushion. I have an El Dorado that is very comfortable. Even my cargo van with cheap vinyl seats sits far better than the ES. It isn't a lumbar problem. I can sit in a chair with a flat wooden bottom, thin cotton batting, and covered with vinyl for an hour. I can't sit in the ES seat for five minutes without discomfort. Try this. Change to the back seat after a few moments in the front seat and you should sense a big difference in comfort. If the front seat sat as well as the back I could live with it, but even if that were the case, Lexus has poor quality seating. The GS isn't much better, and at 10K above the ES, you don't get your moneys worth. I just hope I can find a solution.

I hope you're able to find a solution to your seat problem. IMO seat comfort is one of the most subjective areas of a car. What's uncomfortable to one owner is fine with another.
We just returned from a two week driving vacation and both my wife and I were very comfortable during the entire trip, even after hours in the car. The seats in our ES aren't as soft and plush as those in the previous car, but feel comfortable to us nonetheless.

Back when..year ago or so.... we had a thread or two on here about the seats and at least one on the GS forum. You'll have to dig for the thread(s) though.
The ventilated seats can be a comfort issue and one guy posted his dealer addressed the problem by having stuffing material added and the position of the heating elements inside the seat cushion controls for same moved slightly within the seat cushion area while also adding stuffing. He posted that his dealer had an upholsterer on call for issues at the dealership involving blemishes and it was that guy that re-worked his seat and at no charge. He was pleased with the result.
Someone on the Toyota site did the same thing and posted pics of the process.
If Ons sees your post he may help find a link for you from Toyota Nation or Wanderer if around on here is brilliant at finding older threads, maybe he will have input for you here.

They are horrible.
Well, maybe not horrible but certainly mediocre at best. Definitely worse than the '02 ES300 (which weren't great either). There's just not enough depth to the seat. It doesn't support your thighs.
Volvo has the best front seats in the auto business, closely followed by M-B.
Lexus has a ways to go in figuring out how to design an ergonomically correct seat.
Very disappointing.

Volvo and MB have awesome seats, but not in every model.
Best seat I ever sat in was in a Volvo. After it got redesigned, the new model wasn't as comfortable. My buddy's Merc C32 has awesome seats. My mom's E320 Sport has adequate seats.
I like the ES350 heated/ventilated seats. Not amazing, but still quite comfy. Haven't sat in the regular seats yet. For some reason, every car at my local dealer that we saw had the heated/ventilated seats.

I think the 350 seat is better than the 2003 300 I traded. Mine has the bottom cushion extender, maybe that is not standard (I am fortunate to have the UL. I rode in my brothers 2007 460L, and those seats were definitely nicer (as they should be).

The seats extender does a bit of good, but only a bit, I'm afraid. The seats are still not soft enough or "deep" enough front to back. I keep wanting my butt to slide back further in the seat.
