Turning off the seat belt reminder noise on the Es350?

You will have to have your dealer do it for you - I believe it is done through the Lexus Personal Settings program - free if you haven't had anything else set yet. I had mine turned off the first week.

If it's anything like the '07 ES...dealer should be able to disable it as part of Lexus Personalized Settings. There is a trick to disable it involving the use of the trip meter reset button that works w/ the current-gen Camrys but I could never get it to work on my '07 ES...hence I just asked the dealer to disable it since it was listed as a LPS option/feature.

It will come back if you remove the battery connection. I had to have the dealer redo it after I disconnected my battery - and the second time around, they disabled both the passenger AND the driver side chime. So now I can drive w/o the seat belt and it will only flash the light and not bug me with the noise.
This could be dangerous though but heck I never drive w/o belts so it doesn't really matter I guess.

If you let it chime long enough (~1 minute) it goes silent until the next time you turn the car on.

Has ANYONE, been able to find out how to completely disable the seatbelt chime?
I'm talking about the 5-chimes that come on when you start your car and you're not buckled up yet? And I don't mean 'disabling it' by fastening your seatbelt.
TIA
