Default Do you want UL roof *look* for $50? :)

Here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=318966

Someone (from South Africa) done this to their 3GS. Its a sun resistant vinyl, and the company guarantees it wont fade within 4 years or they will replace it. Cost 50 dollars including fitting.

I know, its a "look" and not the function of UL So, please no flaming

eh vinyl is dull. thats a really cheap (ricey) way to black out the roof. might as well get it repainted.

Even with this on, you still need those wheels to make it completely look like the UL package on the outside...

Wouldn't putting this on render the traditional moonroof useless?

I'm sure they can cut out an opening for sunroof.

Wouldn't it be funny to get the full new "skin" for your car to keep those scratches and stone chips away? I wasn't even aware this is a new trend. Wonder what kind of an adhesive they use and the damage it does to the paint? Obviously, its not light transparent so even if the paint is preserved, it will not age the same as the rest of the car exposed to sun and other weather elements.

It's nothing more then a heavy layer of tint, no different then tint overlays for headlight or taillights, the glue is suppose to be easily removed with goo gone or similar cleaners, no one has really removed one yet being that it just started probably no more a pain then removing window tint.

Several G35, and Altimas have this

Hm... interesting how trends like this happen.

This probably works best on cars with light colors as it would stand out more. The UL roof on my car's SGM color is almost invisible under most light conditions.

LOL, nice catch! I'm jelous though... your color was my color of choice when I bought my car. But the dealer couldn't locate any car on the west coast with that color in the UL when I bought mine so I settled for SGM. I gotta admit, the ES looks really slick in Black Sapphire.

We love the color, esp the metallics in it. 2nd choice was the red with cashmere.

Never liked the UL look and never will. I wonder how the glass roof would do in a severe crash where there is a lot of energy transfer.
