I recently purchased an 08 ES350 about a month ago, but recently found out about the Lexus Visa card promotion. Basically you get 50,000 points on your card which could get you a $500 gift card if you purchased/leased a new Lexus car during the promotion period(10/2-11/21). Sounds like a sweet deal. I'm hesitant since I have way too many credit cards already. Anybody tried this yet?

I signed up for the Lexus Visa when we purchased our UL. The points can be used for future services at the dealership. Sweet deal.

I did the same last year and signed up for Lexus VISA prior to purchase of my ES350. They allow you to put up to $5k of deposit which earns you points. Since I paid cash for my car, it worked out pretty good. Than, when I moved from ES to GS, they allowed me to put difference after buyback on Lexus VISA as well (it was a little over $5k). So far, it paid off for my 10k service and will cover 15k service as well

Highly recommend for any future buyers to sign up with Lexus VISA to earn points. You get more points with purchases from Lexus versus outside purchases. Therefore, it works out to your advantage when you use it as part of your deposit or partial payment or whatever.

i've had a lexus visa card and its great. last october i bought my ES 350 and got the 50000 bonus points ($500 value) for service or a new vehicle. also they have great customer service compared to other cards.
