Lincoln MKZ and all it's derivatives, are just too "funky" interior design-wise. The crazy wood and squared off dash elements, just make for "love it or hate it" polarizations. For me, I hate the interior of the MKZ.
I wonder if Lincoln is trying to walk a fine line between offering a contemporary car/platform, while still trying to appeal to the traditional Lincoln buyer?

Yes they are. I just visited the website.

The exterior is a cross btw an Acura TL and a Mitsubishi. Interior is pretty traditional Lincoln style, with some color thrown in to make it look younger. On paper it looks good. Once I saw pics of it, the Cadillac has a MUCH higher chance of success IMO.

I think this is the replacement for the Town Car. I don't think traditional Town Car buyers are going to be all that excited. I like the design on the web site but I'll hold off on new car fever until I sit in it & drive it.

I agree. I'm not sure what Lincoln will do about the traditional Town Car buyers. Maybe they're willing to send them elsewhere and get younger buyers into the brand. Is Caddy still making a full sized sedan (DTS or something like that)?

Oh yes, the DTS is alive and strong. Had one for an Avis rental - nice car / cheaper interior versus 2001 - 2005 models. We had a '99 Town Car that we sold privately before the Lexus ES350 plunge. Don't miss it but I don't know what I expected with the Lexus brand. It is a nice driving, looking and riding car but I think the aura is over hyped and rated.

Too bad about the STS. I always like the proportions of it as well as, or better than the CTS.

It's looking like the Lincoln lineup will be similar to Caddy's. No surprise I guess.
