Buying through CarsDirect.com
Through the auto-brokerage CarsDirect.com, I have agreed to a price of $36,300 plus tax, vehicle registration, doc fees ($55), tire fee ($9) for a 2008 ES350 (build date November 2007) with the following options:
-premium plus package
-navigation
-wood and leather steering wheel & shift ****
-Adaptive Front Lighting with HID lamp
-full size spare wheel & tire
-power rear sunshade
-prefered accessory package
-rear seat side air bag
I figure that $36,300 price is around $200 under invoice. I am in the Los Angeles area. There is no fee in using the auto-brokerage. But I believe the broker would earn some commission from both the dealer and CarsDirect.com

The dealer that works with CarsDirect turns out to be Longo Lexus. How much was your quoted price with which options? Congrats on the low price !

Carsdirect has it currently at $41,237. The Longo guy offered $39,500 or so. He claims it's $100 over invoice. I coulda sworn KBB said invoice was about $1000 lower, but it's still way better than the Carsdirect price.
