I recently purchased an '08 ES350 and will be picking up my car on Saturday. I am excited to say the least. It is Black Sapphire Pearl with Cashmere interior and includes the Ultimate Luxury Package, NAV/Mark Levinson, Parking Assist, Preferred Accessory Package, and All Weather Mats. I got what I think was a great price to boot.

My question is - for the 2008s, is there any non-intrusive way to get the NAV to work (unlock) while driving? I have tried to follow some of the threads but I am not entirely sure I understand it.

Does the intrusive method work for the 2008s?

Not sure for 2008 but it's easy. Burn a 5.1/7.1 hybrid disk and try it. If it doesn't work reinstall the original factory disk.

Yes, the Version 5.1 loading file is 45MB. The 6.1 is about 71MB and the 7.1 is about 100MB.

Thanks garsano...I am really looking forward to picking it up either tonight or tomorrow. Appears to be a relatively rare color in the UL. There were none in stock, and they did a dealer trade with one on the ship in route. I see you are also from PA.

did anyone get this to work with the 5.1 and 7.1 combo for the 2008 es-350? Mine doesn't want to work. It reads but i can't get the service menu to appear.
