I don't know the answer to the question, but that's a good project if you can dim it down enough that it doesn't annoy you while driving. I seem to hit every other switch up there while dragging my fingers along the console looking for the little braile bump on the #2 button.

Question: How does one remove the Roof Console Box Assembly (the panel with the sunroof buttons and map light buttons)? I removed the two screws inside of the eyeglass holder area, but was unable to pull the console out. The front has plastic clips that extend above the headliner, preventing it from coming down, and the rear appears to be held with a concealed fastener to the roof. I want to remove it to install an LED above the garage door opener and cabin light switch for nighttime illumination. Thanks.

Got another question.
My car does not like the change of seasons. As it gets warmer, the piston slap goes away, but a rattle in the back of the headliner starts up. It is silent in the winter and "ticks" in the summer. So, it is now warming up in the mid atlantic area and it was ticking again today. ITS BACK!!
So, I remember some members on the forum telling me about a weld issue with the back window area or something under the headliner. Do you know anything about this? It seems common. It is a tick noise, high pitched. When I go over any kind of minor bump. It drives me nuts.
By the way, my dealer replaced the tire inflation sensor under the headliner as a TSIB stated, thinking it was cause the noise to stop. It did not fix it.
Suggestions?
It sounds like this.....

Hey onepointon, it really is nice of you to lend your expertise here!!!! I have the "creaks" in my dash that I was going to wait till my 5000 mile checkup (I have 3000 miles on it now). My dealer is supposed to be rated "Elite" by Lexus so I am hoping they will take care of me. I also sometimes here the "ticking" or sounds like small pebbles/dust is hitting the windshield. Is the TSIB handle both of these (I have a 2008 ES350 UL so I thought the TSIB which I believe is dated 2007 should have already been installed in a Dec 07 2008 model)? Advice or input is appreciated.
I feel fortunate that I don't have the rear window issue like MD350. And the clunk...I am not sure. Thought I heard something the other day but could be my imagination (or my golf clubs in the trunk!...haha). Thanks again and would appreciate your input.
