Default Phone Book Memory

I posted this question in the Audio section and did not get any responses. Maybe someone here can answer my question.

I have an '08 ES350 (no navigation). I just tried to add a few more numbers to the address book and it told me that I had reached the maximum number of listings. I only have 20 names stored. I assumed that it would hold a lot more. I've checked the manual but they do not give specs on the number of names that can be stored.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Perhaps you mean you've filled up the speed dial phone lists? I currently have 96 phone numbers stored in my phone book. The limit should be much higher than that.

Dreyfus,
Maybe that's the problem. The "Dial by name" function is filled up. How do you access the 96 phone numbers that you have stored?

Is it possible to program the phone book so a name shows when someone calls rather than the number?

It's all in the owner's manual.

Power up the electronics (one ignition button press or two). Press the phone pick-up button on the steering wheel. If the phone isn't present a warning message will appear. Just wait for it to go away.

Press the SETTINGS button at the bottom left of the screen. Then press the PHONE BOOK button on the screen. Press the REGISTER button on the screen to add a phone book entry. The EDIT button allows you to change an existing entry.

On mine, the phone book was transferred from a blackberry. Incoming calls from someone in the phone book, shows their name on the nav screen.

That's what I was hoping for. I use a BB and was hoping that the names would transfer. I don't have Nav....maybe that's the difference.
