There is plenty of "fake leather", pleather, vinyl or whatever you want to call it in Lexus interiors. The sitting part of the seats, headrest and top of the seatbacks are real leather but the sides of the seat and vast majority of the seat back material is well-matched vinyl. My mom's Coach Edition RX300 actually has vinyl door panel inserts when the RX300 with leather option had leather ones, which is kind of weird but true. The semi-aniline leather can't be mistaken though it is several cuts above the standard leather and actually doesn't match the "matching" vinyl quite as well.

The wood is highly grained, thin sliced and bonded to plastic and then covered with enough clear lacquer and polished to such a luster that it looks fake as can be. What you see, as far as grain, is real tree-grown grain. The fake stuff is getting so good it is hard to tell them apart though.

You'll know they are using fake when euphemisms like "wood grain" or "wood grained" are used. If it says wood it likely is. On the leather side look them to tip their hand with words like "leather trimmed" or "leather seating surfaces" to determine how much of the fake stuff is in there. Very few mass produced cars are truly "full leather" these days and if they are, almost assuredly, it will be boasted about.
