Goodbye, its been a pleasure
This past Thursday (May 22), I said goodbye to my 2007 ES350. My experience with it had been trouble free and simply quite satisfying. It proved to be one of the finest automobiles I had ever owned. However, a deal had been offered me that I could not refuse.
A leasing company took my car as complete payment for a twenty-four month lease on a 2008 Lexus SC430. The SC was discounted from $67,270 to $60,500. The residual is $36,000. I have no doubt that in two years the SC will worth more than the $36K, allowing me to buy it and sell it for a profit and then move into a new 2010 or 2011 car.
I changed from the run flat tires to Michelin Pilot Sport tires, had the windows tinted. installed a visor on the windshield, had the Clear Shield process applied and lastly hard-wired my Escort Passport 8500 X50 radar detector.
The adjustment from a sedan only took a short trip around the block. The ambiance of the interior along with the “feel” of the added weight and more powerful engine captivated me and made the transition instantaneous.
I wish all owners of the ES350 as good of fortune with your cars as I had with my ES350.
I will look in this forum from time to time to learn about your times with the ES model.
Regards to all.
